The event was a huge success. This Thursday is Play Day (rain date is Friday). Your child will be given bbq hot dogs and a milkshake, so please pack less lunch. Many activities are waterbased - the fabulous foam machine and the firefighter hose. Please have your child dress in a school appropriate bathing suit under their clothing. Many students choose to wear a tshirt and shorts instead of a bathing suit. Please send undergarments and an extra set of clothes for after the activities and a bag for wet clothes. You can also send a towel, sunscreen and a hat. It is sure to be a great day.Wishing Robbie and Violet great success at the District Track Meet on Tuesday. Next week is a busy one with EQAO and Track and Field. Friday is a PA Day for teachers to work on report cards. Please make sure that your child has outdoor shoes and indoor shoes suitable for gym activities. Flip flops and Crocs (even in Sports Mode) are not safe in the gym. We had a very successful lockdown drill this week. In the coming weeks we will be practising fire drills. We welcomed 20 new kindergarten students to or school community. <h2 class="editor-heading-h2">Starting Monday, Mrs. Appleton's class will be selling big freezies for a twoonie at second recess. The funds raised will go towards the end of year trip.</h2> Have a wonderful weekend. About Our School

Welcome to Prince Charles Public School located in Verona. Our Kindergarten to Grade 8 school provides students with many positive experiences in their academic studies, athletic skill development and the various arts, while promoting community involvement and positive character development. We invite parents and guardians to work cooperatively with our staff to ensure our students are provided with as many wonderful opportunities as possible. We have an active roster of volunteers and offer you the invitation to become part of our team.

On average, more than 14,000 meals and snacks were served each week, over 530,000 throughout the year, with weekly food orders reaching approximately $17,500.We are grateful to the dedicated staff who make these programs possible, and to The Food Sharing Project for continuing to support student well-being across LDSB. This support is increasingly important as many families continue to face food insecurity.
